Working with Fragments

As we will increasingly have to work with materials in their second or third lives, it is necessary to develop methodologies that can work beyond standardization and reduce material waste. Our knowledge of working with prefabricated units, mortar and putty will not take us far. The goal of this project is to develop a method for reasembling found parts into new wholes.

Using genetic algorythms, a solid block was digitally shattered into random parts and recursively assembled into a wall.
